Precision forging process and die design of Quanzhou supporting wheel body，Bulldozer Idler Made in China
As one of the four wheels in the chassis of excavators and bulldozers, the supporting wheel is mainly used to support the weight of excavators and bulldozers and make the track surface move along the wheel. At present, the annual market demand for this forging is large, about 2 million pieces, belonging to the vulnerable parts of chassis parts. Because of its high stress during working, it needs to have high comprehensive mechanical properties, and its blank needs to be forged. Each roller is welded from left and right half wheel forgings. According to the working conditions, the outer surface and two end faces can be machined after forging, and only the inner hole can be machined later.
The traditional forging process of supporting wheel forgings is: upsetting and flattening with air hammer, and finally forging on friction press (some varieties need to be punched twice). The obtained forging blank has low precision and poor surface quality. Therefore, the inner and outer surfaces of the wheel body forgings need to be left with large machining allowance, which will be cut off in the subsequent processing. The material utilization rate is low, and the turning time is large, which does not meet the current industrial development requirements of energy conservation, consumption reduction and sustainable development. In view of this, this paper proposes to use the roll forging precision forging process to replace the ordinary forging process, so as to improve the precision of the roll forging blank, reduce the subsequent processing hours, improve the comprehensive utilization rate of materials and market competitiveness, and achieve the purpose of reducing costs and increasing efficiency.Bulldozer Idler Made in China
